The Lowell Spinners and Jack Kerouac Center Launch Season-Long Fundraising Partnership
LOWELL, MA — In a partnership as improbable as it is inspired, where box scores meet the Beat Generation, the Lowell Spinners have teamed up with the Jack Kerouac Center to launch a season-long fundraising campaign. The effort will support the restoration of Saint Jean Baptiste Church, recently purchased by Zach Bryan as the future home of the Jack Kerouac Center.
“This project is Lowell,” said Sylvia Cunha, Director of Marketing & Business Development for the Jack Kerouac Estate. “We’re creating a cultural hub that’s going to take a lot of work to get done...we need partners, support, and the community behind it. We’re grateful to the Lowell Spinners for stepping up and being part of this with us and helping move these fundraising efforts forward.”
About the Lowell Spinners
The new Lowell Spinners enter the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) with an
innovative blend of a Minor League ballpark and fan entertainment experience with elite,
amateur baseball.
It’s a return to baseball’s roots in America, where local standouts compete before family, friends,
and neighbors, as part of an affordable, family-friendly night at the ballpark.
The Spinners are bringing back the signature promotions and ballpark entertainment that made
their Single-A run in the New York–Penn League so special. LeLacheur Park returns as Lowell’s
summer commons, a place where families and generations come together for a night out.
About Jack Kerouac
Jack Kerouac, born in Lowell, Massachusetts, was an American novelist, poet, and icon of the Beat
movement. His most famous book, “On the Road” (1957), still has a broad cultural influence. In his
work, he challenged conventional form and was part of the most important literary and artistic
movement of the 1950s.
