Marc Deschenes
Principal Owner & Chief Baseball Officer
Marc Deschenes is a Lowell native whose baseball journey and community commitment are deeply woven into the fabric of the city.
A standout shortstop at UMass Lowell, Deschenes went on to enjoy a 13-year professional baseball career. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians and later selected in the First Round of the MLB Rule 5 Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitching as high as Triple-A Pawtucket. His path through professional baseball gave him firsthand experience in player development, leadership, and the demands of the game at its highest levels.
Following his playing career, Deschenes returned home to Lowell with a mission to grow the game locally. He founded and built one of the most respected youth baseball programs in the country, the Jr. Spinners, now known as USA Prime New England. The program has helped thousands of young athletes develop not only as baseball players, but as teammates and leaders, reinforcing Marc’s belief in baseball as a powerful tool for personal growth and community connection.
As Principal Owner and Chief Baseball Officer of the Lowell Spinners, Deschenes leads the baseball vision for the organization. His leadership blends professional experience, local pride, and a deep understanding of player development — all while staying rooted in the community that shaped his own journey.
Marc and his family reside in his hometown of Dracut, Massachusetts. His son and daughter, Reece and Brooke, attend Saint Michael School in North Andover.
