Host a Player
Open Your Home. Be Part of the Team.
For the first time in Lowell, the Lowell Spinners are proud to introduce our Host a Player program — an opportunity for families and couples to play a meaningful role in a young athlete’s summer baseball journey.
Each summer, talented college players from across the country come to Lowell to compete in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Many are away from home for the first time, and host families provide the stability, comfort, and community that help them succeed both on and off the field.
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HOST
Host families provide a welcoming home environment from May 24 through August 15, including:
• A private bedroom
• Bathroom access
• Use of laundry facilities
• Light meals, snacks, and refrigerator access
• A supportive and respectful household
Some players may bring their own vehicle and will need parking at the host home.
WHY HOST A PLAYER
Hosting is about more than housing — it’s about connection. Many host families form lasting relationships with their players, sharing meals, conversations, and memories that extend well beyond the season.
It’s a chance to:
• Support a student-athlete pursuing their dream
• Experience baseball from a behind-the-scenes perspective
• Build a meaningful connection with the Lowell Spinners organization
• Represent the spirit of Lowell hospitality
HOST FAMILY PERKS
Host families will receive benefits inspired by best practices across the Futures League, including:
• Complimentary tickets to Lowell Spinners home games
• Invitations to select team events
• Recognition as a Host Family during the season
• Team store discounts
Additional details will be shared with interested families.
MEET OUR HOST FAMILIES
Throughout the season, we will proudly feature our host families on our website and social channels, sharing their stories and celebrating the role they play in supporting our players.
