The Park
LELACHEUR PARK AT UMASS LOWELL
Opened in 1998. Built for Lowell.
LeLacheur Park honors Edward A. LeLacheur, a leader whose vision shaped modern Lowell. As the original home of the Lowell Spinners, the Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the park saw future legends begin here. Mookie Betts, Jonathan Papelbon, Kevin Youkilis, Clay Buchholz, Ryan Pressly, Jacoby Ellsbury, Andrew Benintendi, and many more launched their careers on this field. Today, nestled along the Merrimack River, it remains a community gem, offering every fan a seat close to the action and a slice of that history.
The new Lowell Spinners enter the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) with an innovative blend of a Minor League ballpark and fan entertainment experience with elite, amateur baseball.
It’s a return to baseball’s roots in America—where local standouts compete before family, friends, and neighbors, as part of an affordable, family-friendly night at the ballpark.
The Spinners are bringing back the signature promotions and ballpark entertainment that made their Single-A run in the New York–Penn League so special. LeLacheur Park returns as Lowell’s summer commons—a place where families and generations come together for a night out.
